SALEM – Mr. Scott King, 47, of Salem, MA beloved longtime companion of Danielle Chakoutis, died unexpectedly following a brief illness at Salem Hospital, Friday, July 5, 2019.

Born in Salem, he was the son of Donald King and the late Nancy (Beaman) King. He was raised and educated in Salem and was a graduate of Salem High School, Class of 1990. He continued his education at North Shore Community College and UMass-Boston.

Scott had an entrepreneurial spirit and was one of the owners and operators of the former retail stores, Body Maxx and Amnesia. More recently he worked as a skilled carpenter, was employed by Cycles 128, and currently was employed as a Mill Metal Worker at Tecomet Inc of Wilmington for many years.

A loving son, Scott was full of life, had a big beautiful heart, a great sense of humor, very adventurous and was very devoted to his family. He also had a passion for cooking. Scott was an avid motorcycle enthusiast and in his younger years raced motorcycles professionally and was still an avid rider to this day. He loved all motor sports. As a young man he took great pride in his physical appearance, fitness and was a competitive body builder winning many competitions over the years. He had a love and passion for animals especially his dog, best friend Dobie. He loved his family, his fiancé, fast motorcycles and cars, games of chance, his dog Dobie and his friends. He will be deeply missed.

Scott is survived by his father, Donald King of Salem, his long-time loving companion, Danielle Chakoutis of Salem along with her daughter Brittney Janard. Many aunts, uncles, cousins, dearest friends and extended family.

ARRANGEMENTS: His funeral service will be held in The O'Donnell Funeral Home, 46 Washington Sq., (at Salem Common) Salem, Wednesday, July 10th at 12:15 P.M. Relatives and friends invited. Burial in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem. Visiting hours prior to the service from 10 A.M. to 12 Noon. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy maybe made in Scott's memory to MSPCA-Angell, Attn: Donations, 350 South Huntington Ave., Boston, MA 02130.
